Privacy policy

Last updated: May 8, 2026

Introduction

Sparta (“we”, “us”) provides tools to plan athletic sessions, discover nearby activities, and connect with others. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website, mobile apps, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Information we collect

Account and profile. When you create an account, we may collect a display name and a unique user identifier. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may share an identity token and limited profile information according to your choices in the Apple sign-in flow.

Activity and social features. We store content you create in the Services, such as planned sessions, sport types, timing, optional notes, visibility settings, follows, and interactions supported by the product (for example joining or engaging with sessions).

Location. With your permission, the app may access device location to show sessions near you and to attach location-related details you choose when planning an activity. You can revoke location access in your device settings.

Device and notifications. If you enable push notifications, we may store a device token associated with your account so we can deliver alerts you opt into.

Technical data. Like most online services, our servers may receive standard technical information such as IP address, approximate region, timestamps, and diagnostic data needed to operate and secure the Services.

How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services;
  • Authenticate you and maintain your account;
  • Show relevant sessions (for example in feeds or maps you use);
  • Send notifications you have enabled;
  • Protect users, enforce our Terms of Use, and detect abuse; and
  • Comply with applicable law.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us in hosting, analytics, security, or communications, subject to confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the Services and our users.

Content you make visible to others (for example public or follower-visible sessions) may be seen by those users according to your settings and product behavior.

Retention and deletion

We retain information as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes such as security and legal compliance.

You may be able to delete your account from in-app settings where available. Deleting your account removes associated profile data from our systems as described in the product, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

International users

If you access the Services from outside the country where we operate servers, your information may be processed in other countries where privacy laws may differ.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at the support channel listed in the app or on our website. We will respond consistent with applicable law.
